A coincidence leads her to the house of the wealthy but grumpy businessman Warbucks. He offers a high reward to find Annie's parents, which attracts a clever pair of con artists. Eventually, Annie learns that her parents have long since died. However, her charming nature has already won the heart of Mr. Warbucks, who now adopts her. Charles Strouse, inspired by the radio hits of the 1930s, created cheerful music that invites humming along. The most famous hit remains the song "Tomorrow". ANNIE is one of the successful musicals based on a comic strip, with 2,377 performances in New York. It received seven Tonys and the New York Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. In 2014, a new film adaptation of ANNIE starring Jamie Foxx and others was released.
