Description

Frédéric Chopin has been celebrated as a master of Romanticism for 200 years. The composer himself loved to sit at the piano for hours and play. A pianist with stunning technique who not only played the 88 keys but 'touched' them. We present this beautiful simplicity of his music with outstanding young pianists in the series 'Chopin pur' at the French Cathedral. Pianist Anna Pismak was born in Saint Petersburg and already won her first international awards at the age of 9, now counting more than twenty in Russia, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France, and Portugal. She was selected as a scholarship holder of the Swiss Federal Excellence Scholarship. Since her youth, she has also performed as a soloist with orchestras and has been invited by Radio Geneva and Swiss Radio for live broadcasts. She has been living in Switzerland for several years and made her debut there, among other places, in the hall of the newly opened Tonhalle Zurich. Since September 2021, Anna Pismak has been a member of the Orchestra Academy at the Zurich Opera House.
