For over three decades, Andy Egert has established himself as one of the "Hardest Working Men" in the Swiss blues scene. Whether electrically amplified with his Andy Egert Blues Band exploring the world of Texas/Chicago/British blues, or singing Delta blues with just his acoustic guitar – hardly anyone in Switzerland is more "on the road" than Andy Egert. The band delivers their sweat-inducing blues in their energetic shows, which are hard to surpass in dynamics and tension. Concert tours in Europe and America, tours with Chicago blues legend Bob Stroger, with Robert Lucas/Dallas Hodge (Canned Heat), Justina Lee Brown. But also guest appearances with/or as opening acts for Johnny Winter, Stan Webb's Chicken Shack, Steve Marriott, Bernard Allison, Joe Bonamassa, Dr Feelgood, Canned Heat, Ten Years After, Charlie Musselwhite, Sugar Blue, Joe Louis Walker, Climax Blues Band, The Animals, Status Quo, John Lee Hooker Jr., and many more underline the good reputation that the former street musician from southeastern Switzerland enjoys in the international blues community. In 2010, he was awarded the "Swiss Blues Award" at the Blues Festival Basel!
