When the snow falls quietly, string lights illuminate the front gardens, and a touch of magic and cinnamon fills the air, the Christmas season is not far away. While nature retreats, we humans rush through the last errands before the winter calm also catches us. Hopefully. And then it's time: the great festival of love is just around the corner – and with it, the beloved family, with all its quirks, flaws, and eccentricities. Andreas Langsch, award-winning piano cabaret artist and singer-songwriter, knows more than a little about it. In "Schöne Bescherung!" he faces the all-important question: How to survive Christmas with the whole family without losing your mind? Andreas is preparing himself internally for the upcoming celebration, and in doing so, we get to know his family: the helicopter parents ("Put on something warm!"), kitchen fairy grandma Liese and grandpa Karl, who struggles with his new hearing aid, the lively Prosecco aunt Sophie, uncle Philipp with his inexhaustible supply of bad jokes, and of course the full-time pubescent "We-just-don't-care" twins. Look forward to a 90-minute musical cabaret rollercoaster through the normal Christmas madness – including vegan (?) Christmas goose, looming recorder armageddon, and the not entirely dismissible connection between a Chinese string light and the power outage in half of Hamburg... A program about the festival of love, family, and togetherness, funny, heartwarming, thoughtful, and of course highly musical.
