Description
Andrea Schumacher (Cotterd):
Andrea Schumacher is an artist from Vully whose works arise from a strong curiosity about color, material, and atmosphere. She is interested in what happens during the painting process itself – an interplay of planning and intuition, between abstraction and suggestion. She works with encaustic, an artistic painting technique where pigment bound in wax is applied hot to the painting surface. She also uses mixed techniques and acrylic. Andrea Schumacher works as a Zumba instructor. Zumba combines aerobics with Latin American and international dances. Peter Dängeli (Niederscherli):
Born in Bern in 1954 and attended schools. In 1970, trained at the Bern School of Arts and Crafts as a photolithographer. He has worked as a freelance artist since 2010. Peter Dängeli is an artist whose works move between structure and free expression. He combines clear design with experimental processes, with materiality playing a central role. His visual language arises in the tension between control and letting go. Under the title Trilogy, works are created from roofing felt, filler, barbed wire, Sagex, plaster, and sand. These materials are applied in different ways. Another group is created under the title Horizons. Various materials are also used in this painting process. Beat E. Siegenthaler (Spiegel near Bern):
Born in Kölliken/AG. Apprenticeship as an offset printer. Attended the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts. Stay abroad and then began an intensive artistic activity. Inspiration and play with chance are the origin of his works. Nevertheless, nothing arises by chance. He allows this circumstance to develop into a finished, convincing work, a harmonious whole. He calls this 'creation'.
His pictures arise from the juxtaposition of colors, light and dark, light and shadow, and free forms. The artist works with various materials: acrylic, ink, egg tempera, watercolor, oil, and always seeks new color and form combinations.
