The Canadian artist Amanda Marshall is back!
After a long absence, she celebrates her big comeback with 5 exclusive shows on German
stages.
The then 16-year-old artist met the Canadian guitar legend Jeff Healey in 1990 and
left a lasting impression: he invited the still unknown singer at the time to accompany him on his
tour through Canada. Healey not only introduced her to a series of new musical influences – including Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Bonnie Raitt – but also inspired her
to make music professionally.
The rest is pop history, one might think: she received her first record deal in 1994 and
released her self-titled album the following year. This included the worldwide successful
Top-Ten hits "Let it rain" and "Birmingham". With this debut, she achieved her international
breakthrough, earning gold and platinum awards in a total of 15 countries. In Germany,
the album stayed in the charts for 22 weeks. Not surprisingly, Peter
Maffay invited her in 1996 to join him on his tour. Two more albums followed, both reaching multi-
Platinum status and taking her to stages around the world. However, legal disputes
led to silence around the Canadian artist from 2002.
It took two decades for the artist to return with new music: in 2023, she released the
long player "Heavy Lifting," which was re-released in summer 2026 as a deluxe version including three new songs. This release prompted the artist to perform an exclusive
showcase in Germany and reconnect with her German fans.
But this was only the beginning: in spring 2027, Amanda Marshall will go on a tour of Germany! "See you in the spring. Let’s go!"
