Description
The performance of the ZHdK theater students last year fully delighted the Ticino audience – the evening was young, direct, and playful. Continuing this collaboration seems natural – now with three performances featuring students from the current year. Georg Kreisler wrote songs that smile while opening the abyss. They come lightly, as chanson, couplet, cabaret number — and in the next moment, they are right in the midst of the demands of our time: homelessness, alienation, violence, loneliness, language loss, longing for freedom, and distrust of any comfortable truth. Seven acting students from ZHdK encounter the songs, texts, and poems of Georg Kreisler not as nostalgic cabaret but as contemporary theater material. The evening is complemented by current songs that respond to Kreisler from today's perspective and further explore his themes. An evening of songs about the challenge of staying awake. And about the strange hope that even in the bitterest joke, there is a hint of freedom. Featuring: Chiara Brandt, Ambra Luna Dimai, Leonard Dribinsky, Matilda Hollrotter, Theresa Kaplick, Valentin Seyffer, and Anastasia Zatta. Piano: Moritz Lieberherr. Direction: Till Löffler. Collaboration: Matthias Walter. Photo: Bernhard Fuchs, ZHdK. Evening «TingelTangel» on October 25 at Theater TicinoHighlights
