Description
A new collaboration connects us with the choir 'Die Alstersingers', founded in 2023. The choir has its roots in a vocal training course at VHS in Haus Alstertal. Under the direction of Naomi Inoue, the group has set a new, ambitious goal after their successful debut in Poppenbüttel in February 2026: a cappella singing.
The choir is currently on an exciting musical journey, exploring the sound worlds of early music and musicals through the power of voices.
The highlight of the evening is a medley from Les Misérables – one of the most impressive works of musical theatre. The music tells of human destinies, suffering and injustice, but also hope, courage, and the power of community. Between silent despair and emerging confidence, a sound world unfolds that touches the heart.
A special challenge is to tell the dramatic story of Les Misérables without staging, solely through the emotional power of voices – as a compelling expression of 'Voices of Hope'.
Naomi Inoue – Choir Director Naomi Inoue is a trained concert singer and certified vocal pedagogue. She leads the choir course 'Alstersingers' at VHS-Haus Alstertal and is also active pedagogically at a music school.
