A good portion of "Swabian" awaits the visitors of the television-famous cabaret artist Alois Gscheidle. He characterizes the typical Swabian way of thinking and living: shrewd, insightful, and wise! With his program "Rei'gschmeckt," the native Swabian not only takes the newcomers but also the native Swabians to task. Everyone gets their money's worth.
In his various characters, which Alois Gscheidle (in civilian life Marcus Neuweiler) brings to the stage, he holds up a mirror to the audience in simple everyday scenes: As a janitor, he ensures Swabian discipline and order in the house; when he has a cold, he pretends to be gravely ill; as a housewife, he deals with the waste sorting problem; and at the end of the day, he goes to his beloved singing lesson. From an apparently inexhaustible source, Gscheidle repeatedly slips into new costumes for each role and switches characters in seconds.
Alois Gscheidle is a master of spontaneity and improvisation. He consciously leaves room in his program for dialogues and small supporting roles, without losing the thread. The stage is actually just a backdrop; he prefers to stage his pieces right in the middle of the audience. Nowhere can you learn and understand "Swabian" as a way of life faster than with Alois Gscheidle. And at the latest when heading home, even the non-Swabian knows that a "Glufamichel" is not a safety pin Michael! With drinks served before and after the event as well as during the break.
