Description

Born in the 90s, Davide Brancato and Noémie Griess claim the visual, baroque, and queer heritage of Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. A major personality of La Movida, he was a pioneer in inventing a new form of theatricality in cinema and dared to show bodies in all their diversity. Inspired by the transgressive work of this great gentleman, "ALMO BB" adopts the form of a colorful dramatic cabaret. Scenes follow one another, between comedy and melodrama, in a true porosity between stage and audience. Emotions overflow, laughter explodes, tears flow, voices carry, bodies move. Excess, assumed and affirmed, carries meaning and colors the game of the refined duo, made-up, cross-dressed, and fully invested by this overload of life.
