The award-winning Munich singer, composer, and pianist Alma Naidu is one of the outstanding voices of the young European jazz scene. Trained in Munich, London, and Cologne, she has been honored with the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize, the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award, and the Kurt Maas Jazz Award, among others. She tours internationally with her music, including Brazil, France, India, Nepal, Japan, and Mongolia, as well as on the most important German stages and festivals. After her top-10 debut album "Alma," produced by drum icon Wolfgang Haffner, her current self-produced work "REDEFINE" entered the German jazz charts at number 3. Thematically, Naidu intensively deals with identity, social norms, and questioning societal role models. Her music combines jazz, pop, and singer-songwriter elements into a distinctive, cinematic soundscape that confidently moves between purist intimacy and orchestral breadth – intense, poetic, and deeply soulful.
