Alex Kristan has been consistently refusing to grow up for over fifty years and increasingly prefers to escalate age-appropriately. In times when people sue their own reflection due to body shaming, he especially holds a mirror up to us – and shows us with his very own "Born identity" that despite responsibility, to-do lists, and social norms, you can also make faces. With a sharp eye and even sharper humor, he dissects the absurdities of modern adulthood. Men with women complexes, silver foxes with aging allergies, or the fitness craze vs. the "I am always beautiful" lie. Not to forget the Nine-Eleven of the pension system, also called "Rentenhausens Nightmare": the longevity hype and the romanticized escape "back to nature" in the hope that the supposedly idyllic world there will last a while longer. Being an adult, for him, does not mean fulfilling expectations and functioning in the zeitgeist but keeping the promises made to oneself as a child. Keeping this child – and thus humor – alive within us is Alex Kristan's universal remedy against the seriousness of life.
