Description

The band Phraim celebrates their album launch at Neubad Pool. A new beginning is not a break, but a conscious change of direction accompanied by experiences. For the Lucerne collective Phraim, Sirens marks exactly this moment: a pause after the internationally acclaimed predecessor Hysteria – and at the same time a confident step into a new sonic identity. The band, founded in Lucerne and Basel in autumn 2016 by four musicians who met during their studies in Vienna and independently found their way to Switzerland, has a new sound focus with the switch from piano to guitar. The Zurich guitarist Mareille Merck expands the spectrum with a singing, versatile instrument that can serve as both foundation and surface – sharply defined or atmospherically floating.
