AKIRA was born in Zurich and grew up in a bilingual environment: his mother is from French-speaking Switzerland and his father from Buenos Aires. From the age of 13, he found his path in music. Influenced by Prince, Michael Jackson, and Chet Baker as well as tango legends like Carlos Gardel and Facundo Cabral, he blends multiple languages and cultures in his songs to create a sound universe that is unique to him. After three years with the cult label Live From Earth and five years of an independent career, AKIRA now has over 120,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He has notably collaborated with the Zurich jazz duo Okvsho and Berlin star DJ Southstar. He now presents his new solo album, "Niños del Bosque," on stage – an evening marked by musical warmth and cultural diversity.
