Concerto in F major BWV 971: Allegro - Andante - Presto After graduating with honors from the conservatory in Livorno, the young pianist from Viterbo near Rome completes her studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music. She has already won several competitions, released a CD, and made her debut at the KKL with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra in 2025. Lucrezia Liberati has performed at numerous festivals and venues. Her interest in lesser-known repertoire has also motivated her to initiate a research project on the composer Ottorino Respighi. "Overloaded with great distances" is a quote from a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. It serves as a title for a program featuring pieces that incorporate syntheses of various kinds. Respighi combines archaic Gregorian chant with modern harmonies. Bach’s piece merges the Italian concerto style with the contrapuntal style of late German Baroque. Messiaen’s piece attempts to depict the paradox of religious feeling—the silence of the gaze on the child in the manger, which is also an absolute overwhelm—through timbres and rhythms. Finally, Liszt transforms verbal lyricism into musical expression. His piece is inspired by a poem by Alphonse de Lamartine, which bears the same title and celebrates retreat into solitude as a prerequisite for spiritual revelation.
