Description

Subtle, playful jazz with strong lyrics. Flutist Ben Zahler presents new, multifaceted songs along with a new singer, Patricija Škof. The Slovenian musician sings cheekily and sarcastically with a fine wink, telling quirky, original stories with her gentle, dark voice to Zahler's expressive and delicate flute. The songs are partly influenced by pop music, partly sophisticated, always aiming to make the complex seem easy. Iannis Obiols and Ilya Alabuzhev effortlessly create an intense energy with their openness and articulate, confident playing – all without drums. Last spring, 8 octopi released their new album "Frail Boat" on Bandcamp.
