Sitkovetsky Trio 8th Chamber Music Concert The Sitkovetsky Trio is one of the most outstanding piano trios and performs worldwide on the most important stages. The ensemble consists of the Russian-British violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, the cellist Isang Enders from Germany, and the Chinese pianist Wu Qian. The trio has existed for almost 20 years and has gained the highest recognition with its progressive programs and undisputed ensemble performance. For many years, they have performed, among others, at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the Auditori in Barcelona, the Lincoln Center in New York, and the Wigmore Hall in London. The recordings of the Sitkovetsky Trio on BIS Records have won numerous awards. The complete recording of Ludwig van Beethoven's piano trios was praised by international critics as "one of the best new recordings of recent times" (Elisabeth Richter). The trio has always been committed to contemporary music and has commissioned numerous compositions, especially from female composers. The last concert of the Sitkovetsky Trio at Kammermusik Bern was initially canceled in 2021 due to the pandemic but was able to take place at the end of the season in a heavily shortened form and before a reduced audience.
