2nd Subscription Concert – El amor brujo

Description

For the first time within the subscription concerts, flamenco and orchestral sound come together. Under the direction of chief conductor Josep Vicent, flamenco singer Ginesa Ortega and flamenco dancer David Romero perform Manuel de Falla's «El amor brujo». The story told is one of passion, heartbreak, and a mysterious spirit that determines the fate of a young woman. The second half of the concert continues with fiery energy featuring Beethoven's 3rd Symphony «Eroica», which revolutionized music history and remains one of the most popular orchestral works in the classical repertoire.
