Description
For a hundred years, it has filled the parish church with its sound, framing the major festivals and small celebrations, resonating in concerts: the large Mayer-Metzler organ with its 1669 pipes and the entire late Romantic sound richness. The small village at the time acquired an instrument of enormous colorfulness, encompassing everything composed for the organ. In a jubilee concert, local organist Pieder Jörg will perform key works of organ literature, making the hundred-year-old instrument shine for its anniversary. Among others, the well-known Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, César Franck's Pièce Héroïque, and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's 3rd organ sonata will be played.
