Trio Gaspard 1st Chamber Music Concert The Trio Gaspard is dedicated to the entire range of the piano trio repertoire and has become one of the most sought-after trios of its generation. In addition to exploring well-known classics, the musicians collaborate with contemporary composers and seek rarely performed masterpieces to share their discoveries with audiences in renowned concert halls around the world. Their curiosity to discover new repertoire has led to performances of Ethel Smyth's piano trio in D minor at the BBC Proms and Bernd Alois Zimmermann's Présence: Ballet Blanc together with dancer Luka Fritsch. The trio is committed to new music and has launched an extensive project to commission composers such as Olli Mustonen, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Helena Winkelman, Sally Beamish, Kit Armstrong, Johannes Fischer, and Leonid Gorokhov to compose accompanying pieces for Haydn's piano trios. The Trio Gaspard is regularly invited to major international concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Boulez Saal Berlin, Essen Philharmonie, and Salle Molière in Lyon.
