Pat Homse, Azadbek Bekchanov, Ana Bălan, Lyna Beggah, Grandee Dorjii, Alex Ghandour, Daniela Flores Arias, Kader Attia Bebbi examines how migration and transnational biographies shape artistic practices in Switzerland. Based on the situation of numerous artists who come to Basel for their studies — for example at HGK — and who significantly influence the local scene, yet often work under precarious conditions and can only stay temporarily, the project creates a space for reflection and exchange. The program includes screenings with subsequent discussions, an exhibition, and sound performances. The focus is on moving images as a medium to explore questions of identity, belonging, and mobility. A particular emphasis is placed on the exchange between local and international artists. By connecting different perspectives, local issues are placed in an expanded context and a dialogue on common themes in contemporary art is initiated. Bebbi promotes networking, knowledge transfer, and engagement with migration as a central element of artistic practice.
