In Leeds, England, formed Nubiyan Twist is one of the pioneering groups of UK Jazz: a style that blends jazz, afrobeat, soul, hip-hop, and dance music without hesitation. Known for the ultra-tight playing of its musicians and irresistible stage energy, the band returns with a new album, "Chasing Shadows", in 2026. In this opus with many collaborations (Fatoumata Diawara, The Zawoe Queen, Patrice Rushen, or Joe Armon-Jones), the English continue to push boundaries by uniting cultures, generations, and genres through music that celebrates connection, freedom, and groove. Opening act (included in the ticket price): Ace Ross. Ace Ross is the solo project of Arthur Routaboul, a young drummer and producer based in Lausanne. Driven by a modern approach to jazz, the project fuses electronic sounds, current grooves, and lively improvisation. The formation brings together the finest of current Swiss jazz, creating a sound universe that is both energetic and subtle. Ace Ross's first EP, released in June 2025, features several collaborations and meticulous work on the group's musical identity. The project was awarded the ZKB Jazzpreis the same year, highlighting its emerging place on the contemporary jazz scene. This fall, Ace Ross will release a new EP, reflecting the group's evolution over recent months.
